South Woods Middle School Patriot Club Field Trip

The South Woods Middle School Patriot Club enjoyed a meaningful experience visiting the SCPD Emergency Service Base where they interacted with members of the SCPD Elite SWAT Team, Canine Unit, Aviation and Crime Scene Section. They learned about the challenges, high risk situations and specialized tasks and training our local heroes undergo for the wellbeing of our citizens. Additionally, former Navy SEAL, Christopher Wyllie provided a private tour of the Lt. Michael P. Murphy Navy SEAL Museum. There students learned the importance of courage, integrity, and teamwork necessary for all operations to be carried out. Inspired by their service, students expressed appreciation for our elite military forces and their sacrifices made for our freedoms.
